I arrived in Australia 26 years and had all my education in South India - Madurai where I was born. I migrated here with a post graduate degree in English Literature. My husband hails from Chittagong, Bangladesh. We recently celebrated our Silver wedding anniversary with family and close friends for which blessing we thank God.
I enrolled at the ECU and completed a postgraduate diploma of Educational studies. I have been working as a teacher with the department of Employment and Training for 23 years and I still enjoy working with young people which I consider a real challenge.
I have been a long standing member of the Australia Asia Association and have also served on the committee, during which time I had the privilege of doing the news magazine.
